Pickleman's

Columbia, MO

Sandwich. Mighty fine choice. And you'll get a good one at Pickleman's.

They also have great pizzas and salads. But I wanna talk about sammiches.

So basically, I sought out Pickleman's as refuge from Jimmy John's my freshman year of college. I was tired of Jimmy John's and they were likely tired of me and my Vito.

Everything there is good, and for all you single ladies, the delivery guys are usually good lookin'. I have gotten probably everything on the menu at one point of another, but I always lean towards the Italian of the Turkey Bacon Club. On the Turkey Bacon, go for the asiago caesar dressing instead of mayo... it adds a nice punch. And on the Italian, add banana peppers.

The Baja Chicken soup and the broccoli cheddar are both great, especially when you're feeling under the weather. The location on Broadway seems to have a better drink selection, but I haven't been to the one on Old 63 in a while because it's farther to drive and therefore they also do not deliver to my house.

For those of you who are not in Columbia, MO (CoMO, as we lovingly refer to this town), Potbelly is a nice substitute. In either case, watch out for the giardinara peppers... they're HOT. And I'm from Texas.
